Splishing and Splashing at Spanish Splash!??

Wind and rain and power failures couldn't keep the winos away for long.? John Clerides of Marquis Wine Cellers wowed tempranillo fans once again last night with his second annual Spanish Splash Wine Event at the Vancouver Museum.

The event was initially scheduled for November 16th but cancelled last minute when a windstorm took out the power in Kitsilano. But with a bit of determination, juggling and rescheduling, the event went ahead three weeks later. Mind blowing selections of Spanish wines were poured and nibbles were dished out by Savory Coast, Cru, Provence Marinaside, Lolita’s, Le Gavroche, Terra Breads and Ocean Club.

The museum artifacts may have not been the only objects in the room with a "history" but ?the well behaved crowd rubbed their civilized elbows to raise money for a very worthy cause, The Downtown Eastside Women’s Center.??
