Two BC Companies Play Santa

We all know that the true spirit of the holidays is in the giving.  Here's how two B.C. companies plan to make a Christmas that's merry and bright for those who are living under difficult economic circumstances.

SOOKE HARBOUR HOUSE

On Dec 11th, Sinclair and Frederique Phillip and their staff at the Sooke Harbour House will fill their inn's garden room to the rafters with a variety of presents so that members of their South Vancouver Island community who are not in the position this year to buy gifts can provide a Merry Christmas for their loved ones after all.  After gift selection, the guests and staff will all pitch in to create and enjoy a communal Holiday lunch together.

Says Frederique Phillip, "We love seeing the happy faces of the families when we open our 'Santa's Clauset' for them... When we love, when we give, Christmas is every day!"

To contribute gifts, or for more information, visit the Sooke Harbour House website at the link above. Or call: 250-642-3421.

GLOWBAL GROUP OF RESTAURANTS

On Tuesday, December 20th, in partnership with the Union Gospel Mission, the Glowbal Group staff, with help from their friends and families, will serve a hot and festive traditional Christmas meal to residents of the Downtown Eastside.

"Table for 2,000" takes place at Union Gospel Mission from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. To contribute supplies, volunteer help, or obtain more information, contact The Glowbal Group at: marketing@glowbalgroup.
