FALL: Petite Pumpkin Pie
The $5 pie at Costco will definitely feed more, but you can't beat this small 6" version for cuteness. Especially if you are going to be the only family member at the Thanksgiving table who favours pumpkin pie over apple. Uprising Breads is now featuring this personal mini pie alongside its larger versions for Thanksgiving and Halloween, all of them nicely decorated with pastry stars and dried cranberries. By the way, did you know that Uprising Breads now has a second location? The new storefront can be found at 3066 West Broadway (and Balaclava). It's the second location for the bakery which has maintained its original outlet at Venables and Commercial for the past 30 years. They are still in soft opening, hence the lack of announcements, but have been open for business for the last two weeks.
