Cassini Cellars - Pinot Noir 2007
CASSINI CELLARS

Adrian Capeneata's winery, Cassini Cellars, is not only the newest winery to debut this season in the South Okanagan (find the large yellow/gold building perched on Hwy 97 between Osoyoos and Oliver), it's also currently offering some of the best value in the region. Take this cherry/berry-rich Pinot Noir, for example. At $24 it fits the budget range and flavour compatibility for any number of weekday dinners at home, from a pasta ragu to a backyard barbecued salmon dinner.

Good Value

A newcomer to the BC Wine scene, Cassini cellars has come out of the gates with a solid Pinot Noir.  Pure raspberry and cherry flavours are complimented by touches of smoke and caramel.  The fat mouth feel and silky texture are only complimented by the long cherry cola finish.   An unadulterated style that I appreciate for its solid fruit and rich feel.
